SUSTAINABILITY

Waste Reduction

Our White Glove Solutions include not only the installation, assembly, and set up of various products – they also include the removal and recycling of all packaging material from each delivery location. We even haul away old appliances and mattresses and follow industry standards to dispose responsibly of these items.

Styrofoam

Our sustainable processes include repurposing the recycled Styrofoam. We take large pieces of Styrofoam and melt it down to a very compressed and hard substance. This compressed Styrofoam is then used to make photo frames or other similar items, reducing the need for lumber and trees being cut down. Annually, we recycle and prevent over 340 tons of Styrofoam being disposed of in landfills.

Cardboard

Cardboard we collect and return to our facilities is broken down, condensed, and bailed. This cardboard is then recycled and repurposed into different paper products such as paperboard, new cartons, and craft paper. We recycle over 2,800 tons of cardboard every year.

Tin

We have a daily process to salvage the scrap metal from all of the old appliances that we haul-away from customer homes and businesses. We prevent 10,800 tons of tin annually from ending up in our landfills.

Electric Vehicles

Temco is forward thinking in its advancement of sustainability practices and has begun the testing of electric delivery vehicles in select markets. Such vehicles will be integrated into our future delivery fleet.

Future Goals - 2030

While our current recycling efforts are certainly making a difference, we are determined to do even better! We will accomplish this goal by working together with our planet-friendly employees, our sustainable-minded business partners, and our valued customers. We strive to be carbon net zero, offsetting our delivery vehicles’ carbon footprint, 25% of our fleet using electric vehicles, and 100% landfill waste elimination by 2030!
